Many homeowners are in the market to build a new home or second home. As with buying your first home, the process is time consuming and arduous. But to the savvy new home builder, this process can be very simple. Here are a few tips when getting started on building your new home:

  • Find your dream lot (beach, country, mountains) and let that be your starting and finishing point.
  • Get an architect and start with specs from your home.
  • Make sure you have proper financing in place before you begin the construction process.
  • Use an experienced builder and complete within the allotted time frame.
